Battles Are Rarely Won Against Thoughtless Words And Careless Actions
I have seen this face a lot of late.
It tells me, although I already know, that we really are alone in this world. Alone and fighting our endless battles.
Battles with those that say they care. And a never ending war in the way that we see ourselves.
Many will see confidence and certainty in this face. I think they see only what they are supposed to see.
To me, this face knows sadness and pain.
Yes, it also shows indifference and has a certain style. But this, I believe, is no more than a facade, a front to hide the anxiety and fear.
And deepening shades of darkness.
We are fragile and battles are rarely won against thoughtless words and careless actions. Selfish acts that bruise and damage are destroyers of value and worthiness.
This face needs kindness. It is small and frequently overlooked. But I see it almost everywhere these days. I just need to start listening to what it has to say.
