The Present Is All We Ever Really Have

For me, there is something alluring about a disused railway line. A place that had once been busy and vital but now mostly forgotten by those that have moved on and a generation that knows no different. Walking where tracks used to be, alongside oblivious dog walkers and kids wasting time, is a pure and selfish pleasure, even if details of the past get a little blurred. Whilst the present is all we ever really have, it does us good to dip a toe into the pool of nostalgia every now and again.
