The posters of hate and division on the wall were fading and starting to peel. Replaced by stickers with new, more positive messages, which would themselves be covered in time, the random mix of dying words and merging colours caught my eye and drew me in. A clunky and rather obvious metaphor for our current times, of course, but there is often a peculiar attraction to conflict and collision, whatever the medium or era.
