I was chatting with someone the other day. They told me that they believed that they had a creative personality.
Most of us would like to think that we can identify with the traditions, the ideals, of the holiday season. To think of others before ourselves, to be kind, understanding and generous.
Voices, chatter, indistinct but incessant, through insulated walls and slightly open windows. Murmurs and laughter with synchronised bass line accompaniment.
I wonder at times if we are still able to think for ourselves? Or does every thought, every appealing idea that we develop and nurture, come ready packed and generated elsewhere?
If it's a beautiful day but someone tells you it’s not, is it still a beautiful day?
Life has been tough lately, for all of us.

I am invisible these days.
It was inevitable, really, I’ve felt it happening for such a very long time.
Such a powerful statement. And such a sad reflection of our modern society that we not only have to remind people of this but also defend and justify the need to say it.
Being yourself, being true and authentic, in a fake and greedy world.
Well, that’s a challenge for most of us, right? What feels honest and true to me will no doubt feel like little more than a cry for help to others.
And it almost passed me by, what with filling my head with things that ultimately mean little and placing obstacles, finding obstacles, and allowing them to stop me.
It's as if we have been hidden away for such a long time and, now that the door had been unlocked and left open, people are too scared to step outside again.
So how refreshing, how beautiful even, to spend some time with those that choose to be different.
At first you probably won’t notice and that’s ok.
Sometimes, from a certain angle, people look no different to lampposts and bollards.
