A Waterlogged, Muddy, No-Go Zone And Lemons
It’s been a wet winter.
And grey.
Very wet and grey.
And somewhat miserable as well, if the truth be told.
So our recent snow was a lifeline for those that needed it. Which many of us did.
Yet when the rain replaced the snow and our beautiful, white parks and countryside became waterlogged, muddy, no-go zones, there were still some positives to be found.
And during my daily and slightly repetitive lock down exercise walk I found one, right there in front of me. A frustrated owner, unable to stop her excited dog bounding into the largest of puddles, shaking her head as her charge jumped and rolled and generally did what dogs do, stirring the water with a wet and muddy tail of unbridled joy.
And if your view of the world right now is that life is regularly serving up lemons, and let’s face it, that’s often how it seems to feel, well, this dog was clearly determined to make lemonade.
