There's A Lot Of Dignity In Going Out Like A Raspberry Ripple
Today was a Good Friday.
Fuck winter, lock down and Boris Johnson.
Today the sun shone. We drove to the sea and decided to behave like normal people for a while. Was it allowed? Who knows. I have long since given up trying to understand our confusing pandemic laws.
The sun shone, people smiled and so what if it was a little chilly, this is England on a bank holiday, what do you expect?
Everyone was happy, just like when the snow came a couple of months ago.
I can’t quite find the words to do justice to the emerging feelings of normality I felt today. So, in the immortal words of Bob Hoskins in one of my favourite films;
It’s Good Friday. Have a Bloody Mary!
