What Comes After Where We Are Right Now
Sometimes you find a place that grabs you, surprises you even. A place that makes you look around and think to yourself, well, I'm not really sure what I expected, but I certainly didn't expect this.
And then, maybe, you start to explore, seeing if those first impressions, the positive feelings you noticed when you climbed out of the car, extend beyond the car park.
Because if they do and, let's be honest, sometimes they do, then it’s possible, just possible mind, that you may want to nose around a little or even come back again and explore in a lot more detail. To allocate some time as such to really get beneath the surface and to hopefully understand why this place grabbed you in the first place.
And then, and of course sometimes this can all happen rather quickly, then you start to take a few photographs and think, I quite like this place, maybe I could spend more time here, maybe I could even think about living here one day.
And it's at this point when I very cheerfully find myself saying, oh yes, here we go again.
Because, and here is the thing for me right now, I find myself doing this a lot. I mean, really often, if I am being totally honest with myself.
I go somewhere, like it, and before I know it, I am going over the plans in my mind, working out when and how rather than still wondering if.
So welcome to my rather confused but also extremely lucky world of actually having the time to visit places and think about what comes after where are are right now.
And how many people can honestly say that?
