Such a powerful statement. And such a sad reflection of our modern society that we not only have to remind people of this but also defend and justify the need to say it.
And it almost passed me by, what with filling my head with things that ultimately mean little and placing obstacles, finding obstacles, and allowing them to stop me.
It’s the real, “I want to do this and achieve something” kind of effort, that makes things happen, that’s what I’m talking about here..
Because whilst this stage may not have quite been the best, it was also not quite the last. But on both counts it was pretty close and that’s good enough for me right now.
A strange title for a walk along the coast, I can hear you thinking. And yes, you would be right.
However, there are some things that are beyond subjective when it comes to beauty. In fact, they are so far beyond that to even ask the question is likely to appear patronising or insulting.
A flavour of spring in a winter landscape is sometimes all it takes to fill a heart and to raise a face towards the glorious sunshine.
There is a bit of a chill in the evenings and disappointingly, the heating has already made a brief appearance in our house.
We sat under the trees after hours on our feet, tired, thirsty and just a little irritable, as naïve tourists have a habit of being in warm countries.
There will always be challenges for us to face as human beings and we frequently struggle to engage with each other in positive or respectful ways.
