And such a sad reflection of our modern society that we not only have to remind people of this but also defend and justify the need to say it.
Black lives matter because all lives matter.
We are all so used to systemic white, male privilege in the UK and across the world that we often don’t see it for what it is. A system set up to benefit those in power.
Everyone deserves to be treated equally.
And until that happens, messages like this matter. Because black lives matter.
