Monochrome Days, Black And White Weather

Monochrome Days, Black And White Weather

It is very much the season for monochrome days and black and white weather. Dark, churning water reflecting heavy, menacing clouds. Dull, grey and overcast. We braved wet and windy conditions to walk along the Thames, from Kingston down to Hampton Court and back again.

Horse Fair to Barge Walk to Tiltyard.

Fresh air and exercise avoiding puddles and cyclists, dog walkers and tourists, even runners and paddle boarders. A veritable dance around a miscellany of obstacles. Six miles of watching the skies, admiring houses we will never be able to afford and noticing people we don’t really want to meet. Time wasting yet strangely uplifting. A February afternoon of dampness, muddy shoes and occasional flashes of sunshine.

And a nice cup of tea.
